The Defining Moments That Shaped Our Journey

A LEGACY OF MILESTONES: LOOKING BACK AT UNITED COUNTRY’S 50,000TH SALE

As we celebrate 100 years of United Country Real Estate, we continue to reflect on the defining moments that shaped our journey.

In November 1952, United Country reached a remarkable milestone—recording its 50,000th sale. To commemorate this achievement, United Country awarded buyers Robert and Aleene Sells, parents of seven children, a completely free and partially furnished 80-acre farm in southeastern Missouri.

Founder Roscoe Chamberlain remarked on the significance of the moment, stating, "It must have been providence that guided Bob and Aleene Sells to start early on that particular November day, signing the contract and paying the deposit when they did, just ten minutes ahead of the next United Country sale."

This event was more than just a milestone; it underscored United Country’s commitment to helping families find opportunity and security through land ownership. Chamberlain’s vision of connecting buyers and sellers across the country has remained steadfast, proving that real estate—especially rural land—continues to be a lasting and valuable investment.
